Bill Cosby, nicknamed “America’s Dad” for his role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, was convicted in April of aggravated indecent assault. On Tuesday, Cosby was sentenced to three to ten years in a state prison for the drugging and sexual assault of Andrea Constand. Judge Steven O’Neill of Pennsylvania's Montgomery Court said, “This was a serious crime. Mr. Cosby, this has all circled back to you. The day has come, the time has come.” In addition to jail time, Cosby was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine as part of his sentence. Cosby will also have to register as a “sexually violent predator” which is a lifetime registration.
