For heterosexual couples, there is a trend among those in which the woman is the primary breadwinner. Men say they earn more than their wives, and women likewise say they earn less than their husbands. Even though 25% of couples see women outearning their male counterparts, a female breadwinner remains stigmatized both at work and at home.
