In the upcoming November election, Senator Lynne Walz assured voters that Democratic nominee for Nebraska governor Sen. Bob Krist will respect women: “Women will be supported, respected, and harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated.” Walz held a news conference in the Capitol Rotunda to pledge that women’s issues will be taken seriously during his election. Issues such as discrimination, child care, and workplace harassment were discussed in detail to promote positive conversation and effective solutions to combat these problems during his term as governor of Nebraska. According to campaign manager Jessica Flanagain, Krist has expanded on maternity leave and updated sexual harassment policies.
