Investing in the Future of Young Pinays


An education technology startup in the Philippines just launched a campaign called, ‘Investing in the Future of Young Pinays,” to support young girls in their journey from education to employment. The campaign’s three-fold approach aims to provide young Filipino women with choice, convenience, and advice. The organization’s urgency stems from a recent Philippine Statistics Authority report, which states that “girls comprise 63% of out-of-school youth”, and a recent Labor Force Survey that says, “4 in 5 working-age men are employed while only half or 2.5 out of 5 women are in the labor force. Throughout the year, the startup will offer a series of career clinics and online content as well as greater access to schools, scholarships, and study opportunities abroad.
