Society Needs To Stop Shaming Self-Harm Scars

Scars remnant from self-harm are often seen by society as a symbol of weakness or shame, sometimes detering those with these scars from modeling or even showing their skin. Goodbye Bread, a British online fashion retailer, is trying to break this mold. Their latest campaign features models with scars from self-harm or vitiligo. A GB representative explained, “[That] body scars are a part of a person’s life journey, that should not be photoshopped.”
