Teenage Girls and Psychological Distress

New research conducted in the Toronto metropolitan area suggests that approximately 50% of teenage girls show signs of psychological distress, including anxiety and depression. They are notably twice as likely than males their same ages to have symptoms. The study focused on teenage girls' internet and social media habits. Though the study showed a trend between hours spent on their phone and poorer mental health, correlation is not always causation.
