Definitely Politically Engaged, but Not Definitely Voting

The 2016 presidential election mobilized young women who hadn't previously engaged in politics, but they still feel like their votes won't make a difference in midterm elections. Among women 18-35, 70% believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, but only 30% definitely plan on voting in the midterms. The main factor causing this disconnect: the persistent enthusiasm gap.
